It is with humble acceptance that we announce the passing on of Gogo Elizabeth Kili (Kapkolum) which occurred on March 16, 2024 in Nandi.
Wife of Philip Kitur Kili. Eldest child of the late Job Arap Too (Kalasinga) and the late Esther Too.
Sister-in-law of Joseph Kili (Magdalena Kili).
She was beloved mother of the late Senior Private Asbel Kiprop, Dr. Hosea Kili (Secilia Kili), the late Michael Cheruiyot (Christine Cheruiyot), the late Salome Jelagat, Rebecca Keter (Joel Keter), Susan Tanui (Caleb Tanui), Anne Kemboi (Silas Kemboi), Hillary Kitur (Caren Kitur) and Doreen Jepchirchir.
Sister of Elijah Arap Birgen, Helena Maina, Jonah Birgen, Elkana Ngisirei, the late Phoebe Yego, Zipporah Togom, Sila Yator and the late Edward Ngisirei.
Grandmother of the late Careen, Valerie, Emmanuel, Sharon, Caren, Cynthia, Allan, Victor, Janet, Reuben, Meshack, Boaz, Nancy, Rael, Timon, Alice, Dickson, Donald, Douglas, Alexis, Duke, Duncan, Edwin, Mercy, Gloria, Caren, Brenda, Brighton, Bradley, Chloe, Brandon and many others.
She was aunty, cousin and great grandmother of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements in Kapkoros, Kaiboi sub-location, Nandi County and in Mageta Road, Lavington.
There will be fundraising and a short prayer service on Thursday, 21st March 2024 at Simba Hall, LMS Guest House next to Nairobi Central SDA Church, Milimani from 5.00pm. Part of the fundraising contributions will go towards completion of the construction of the SDA Church Job Arap Too Memorial Itigo, which Gogo was sponsoring on behalf of her late father’s wishes.
The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on the morning of Sunday, 24th March 2024 for a prayer service at home Kaiboi and overnight stay. The funeral service will take place at her home in Kapkoros village, Kaiboi on Monday, 25th March 2024 from 9.00am.
