It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Rtd. Elder Mrs Joyce Wairimu Gacheru on 17th March 2024 after a short illness.
Daughter of the late Mr. John Mwinga Ngare and the late Mrs. Tabitha Muthoni Mwinga. Beloved wife of Mr. Douglas Gacheru Thua.
Doting mother of Jane Wamuyu, Robert Thua and Beatrice Wangari Thua, Timothy Mwinga and Rose Waturi Mwinga, Tabitha Muthoni Gikuni and Andrew Gikuni, Rose Mweru Kamari and Alexander Kamari.
Sister of the late Kimondo, the late Githendu, the late Ngunjiri, the late Nyambura, and Mr. Taiti. Sister-in-law of Wairimu, the late Kihagi, the late Mweru, and the late Wanjiku.
Grandmother of Alvin Njoroge, Martha Wangechi, Job Nduati, Joy Wairimu, Rispar Wangui, Douglas Gacheru, Kygen Mwaniki, Kycee Kanyi, Ashley Wangui, Timothy Muchai, Benjamin Methi and Christopher Gacheru. Great grand mother of Latisha Waturi.
Prayers will be held at her home in Marandini from Wednesday, 20th March 2024 to Sunday 24th March 2024 from 4:30pm.
Prayer meetings will also be held in Nairobi at PCEA St. Andrews Church on Thursday 21st March 2024 & Friday, 22nd March 2024 from 5:00pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday 26th March.
The cortege will leave Jamii hospital Karatina at 8:00 am. The service will be at PCEA Ichamara, Mukurwe-ini from 10:00 am followed by burial at her home in Marandini, Mukurwe-ini.
