APPRECIATION

Mama Annah Tikui Noolpara

On 9th March, our dearly beloved mama Annah Tikui Noolparakuo Tunai rested, after decades of being buffeted by winds of disease bravely borne.  As a family, ours were heavy hearts filled with untold sorrow and sadness upon such untimely death.

During this time, we have seen unmatched acts of love and compassion from all over.

To His Excellency President William Ruto, and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua - your friendship in this time of need has been a true measure of excellence and compassion, for which the entire Tunai family is boundlessly beholden to you for the brotherhood. You visited with us when you heard of our bereavement, and joined us for mama’s burial too. Your friendship and support has proven itself as a real measure of brotherhood.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Moses Wetang’ula, and Cabinet Secretaries Hon. Soipan Tuya, Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, Hon. Davis Chirchir, and the slate of cabinet secretaries, designate Chief Administrative Secretaries, Governors, especially Governor Ntutu of Narok County, Governor Lenku of Kajiado County, Governor Lati of Samburu County, and Governor Njuki of Tharaka Nithi County, including former governors, and other distinguished government officials, our gratitude to you all is beyond measure.

To the Doctors at Aga Khan Hospital who attended to our beloved late mum during her times of struggle with ailment until she closed her eyes in death. Special thanks go to Dr. Matharu; Dr. Jumba; Dr. Gill and Prof. Okello, and the host of medical teams some who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. We convey to you all our profound gratitude and respect.

To our friends (those from Kenya – Members of Parliament from Kenya as well as Members of Parliament from Tanzania and our Tanzanian friends), relatives and community members from Olmotonyi village and beyond Narok County – you have truly redefined what love and support mean, especially through your first-hand support and incalculable sense of sacrifice – the Tunai family has experienced your love and kindness in the most humbling of ways, and we will never forget.

Our beloved mama Annah Tikui Noolparakuo Tunai now rests in a world beyond us, and in keeping with her faith as well as ours, we trust that the good Lord has her in His care.

will rest in the shadow of the Almighty”.
