is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our
dear Mzee John Tolo Otega at The Nairobi Hospital on 17th March 2024.
Mzee
John Otega was the son of Pastor Timothy & Mama Esther Ajur Otega, and Mama
Karen Munga Otega of Ruga Village, Kanyada, Homa Bay County.
He
was the beloved husband of Mama Margaret Otega, and a loving father to
Anne-Marie, Kate, Ronnie & Katie, Cliff & Binti, and Cheryl.
Doting
grandfather to Kyra, Lerato, Geno and Kwewa.
Brother
to Damaris and Hon. Samuel Ayodo, Zilpah & Musa Ondigo, Asca & Amos
Midamba, Samuel Abbot & Janet Otega, Julliter & Tom Madindou, Petroline
& Dr. Robert Arunga, Solomon & Mary Otega, Christine & Derrick
Otugha, and Riziki Otega.
Son-in-law
to Mzee Michael & Mama Grace Yotto of Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County.
Brother-in-law
to Dr. James Makayoto, Eng. John Makyotto, Eric Adiedo, Tabitha Ochieng, Dr.

There
will be a Fundraising Service at 3 pm on Sunday 24th March 2024 at
Nairobi Central SDA Church to assist the family to send Mzee on his final
journey. A Thanksgiving Service at the same venue will be held on Wednesday 3rd
April 2024 at 11am.
Mzee
will be buried on Friday 5th April 2024 at his Kanyada home in Homa
Bay County.
