It is with deep sorrow and the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Nereah Nafula Malemo Murunga which occurred in Nairobi after a short illness.
She was dotting daughter of the late Hezron and Merab Malemo and daughter in-law of the late Marko and Wanyona Maombo. Wife of the late Humphrey Shari Murunga.
Loving mother of the late Sheila, the late Milton, Wyticcah, Chrispus, Eugenia and Leticia Murunga. Mother in-law of Dorcas and Michael. Grandmother of Elsie, Lelsie, Milton, Sheila, Lucky and Sherlin.
Beloved sister of the late Naomi Malemo, Joina Malemo, Josephat Malemo, Capt. Malemo, Amos Malemo, the late Anne Malemo, Roseline Malemo, Paul Malemo, Zipporah Malemo, Justus Malemo and Peninah Malemo.
Sister in-law of Misiko, the late Wayera, Dinah, the late Shango, Opunga, the late Bushuru, the late Margaret, the late Charles and Elizabeth, Winfrida Malemo, Elizabeth Malemo, Alice Malemo, Irene Malemo and Benedict Watitwa. Aunt of Wycliffe Malemo, Emelda Agoi Malemo, Robinson Malemo, Kennedy Malemo, Eva, Newton, Nolesca, Ian, Dodi, Alaska, Lexine, Crystal, Rebecca, Sofy, Joanne, Sandra and many others. Cousin of Dr. Humphrey Muyelele, Arch. David Situma, Pius Wamalwa, Sr. Albina Nanjala, Maurice King’oro, Jefferson Sitati and many others.
Family and friends are meeting daily at Breeze Estate, Langata from 5.00pm. There will be a fundraiser on Tuesday, 26th March 2024 from 5.30pm at All Saints Cathedral. A short prayer will be held on Thursday, 28th March 2024 at Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi at 6.30am, thereafter, the cortege will leave for Kitale. The funeral service will be held at Dekko Academy on Saturday, 30th March 2024, followed by the burial at her home in Kiungani Village, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.
