It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the Abamogacho clan, announce the sudden death of Mr. Morang’a Morekwa (DCC Mbita Sub County, Homabay County) of Bomogacho Village, Nyamache Sub-County, Kisii County.
Son of the late Morekwa Mokua and the late Askah Nyaboke Morekwa. Husband of Esther Bosibori Morang’a. Son-in-law of the late Daudi Bosire and Pacificah Bosire. Father of Victor Mokua, Eng. Calvin Morekwa (Ministy of Justice, Canada), Areba Morang’a (Farmer) and Erna Nyanduko. Brother of the late Ombane, the late Peninah, Dorcas (Kenyerere Vilage), Rebecca (Nyamache D.C’s office) Miriam (Egetuki Pry), Glady’s (Masongo Pry) and Everlyne (Uasin Gishu). Father-in-law of Venittah Kemunto and grandfather of Nyaboke, Nyamusi and Bosire.
Brother-in-law of the late Mellen Moraa Ombane, the late Ontomwa, the late Mong’eri, Charles Mwoma, Kennedy Anyona and Daniel Obuya, the late Eunice Kerubo, Eliud Ondati, Ben Bosire (Chief Nkoroi), Doris, John, Dorcas. Korera of Pius and Ruth Orina.
Nephew of the late Bironga Orwoba, the late Mayaka Mokua, the late Nyaboke Omare, the late Ombati Mokua, Nyamongo Mokua and Kwamboka Nyangara, Kemunto, the late Nyanchama, the late Bosibori, the late Kwamboka, Onchong’a, Elizabeth and Mokeira. Uncle of Morekwa, Gekara, Daniel, Judith, Nyanduko, Elfilah, Hellen, Vincent, Carolyne, Nyanchera, Kwamboka, Donnet, Janet, Rachel, Bironga, Emmanuel, Gloria, Cynthia, Norwen, Kelly, Perry, Tarsh, the late Delight, Happy and Destiny.
Cousin of the late Abel Orwoba, Paul Mayaka, Zablon Ombati, Ogari Omare, Arch. Swanya Nyamongo, Chief Meshack Nyangara, Jared Makori among others.
Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Karen, Silanga Road, Boston Villas and his rural home in Otanchi, Bomogacho Village from 5.00 p.m.
Final fundraising will be held Tuesday, 16th April 2024 at Professional Centre Parliament Road. The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Nairobi on Wednesday, 17th April 2024 for a Church service at SDA Church-Nkoroi Ongata Rongai. The body leaves for his ancestral home on Thursday, 18th April 2024 for his funeral service on Friday, 19th April 2024 at Igoma Primary School and thereafter internment at his home.
