The Lord has called The Very Rev. Dr. George Ernest Wanjau, The Moderator of the 11th and 12th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA), to eternal glory.
Husband of Mary Wanjiru Wanjau.
Son of the late Ernest Kiura and the late Esther Wanjiru of Kiaruhiu, Chehe sub-location in Nyeri.
Son-in-law of the late Rev. Paulo Kahuho and the late Deborah Mukami.
Brother of Peter Kiura, the late Mercy Nyawira, Milcah Kagendo, David Ngare, the late Stephen Ngure, and Alice Wangui.
Father of James Mwaniki (USA), Paul Kahuho, late John Mugambi, and Stephen Njoro. Father-in-law of Gloria Oluchi and Linda Nduku.
Grandfather of Maryann Wanjiru (USA), George Wanjau (USA), Mark Wanjau, Marion Nyawira, and Michael Kanyanya.
Great grandfather of Ryan Mwangi and Miles Mugambi. Uncle of many.
Prayers will take place at the PCEA Muteero Church in Karen on Monday 15th and at PCEA St. Andrews Tuesday 16th April 2024.
A memorial service will be held at PCEA St. Andrew’s Church Nairobi on Sunday 14th April 2024 starting at 3:00 PM.
The Funeral service will be held at PCEA St. Andrew’s Church Nairobi on Thursday 18th April at 10:00 AM followed by interment at his Karen Home. Departure from Lee Funeral Home will be at 9:00AM.
