It is with humble acceptance of God’s sovereign will, that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved Mrs. Simprose (Sippy) Oyola Oyugi, formerly of ICIPE, after a short illness. She was fondly known as ‘Madhe’ or ‘Nyagojwang ‘.

Simprose was the last-born daughter of the late Justo Onani and the late Pelesia Oketch Onani.

She was step-daughter of Mary Akinyi Onani.

She was the sister of Loice Obila, the late Margret Ngado, Monica Olal, Lilian Achieng, Millicent Apeli, Augustine Onani, Justo Onani, Wyclif Onani, Florence Onani and Walter Okado Onani.

She will be missed by her brothers Alex Nyabola, Tom Yongo, Okwe Dimba and sister Lucy Dimba among others.

Mama Sippy was married to Veteran senior national football Instructor, John Bob Oyugi, HSC.

She was mother of Cheryl Achieng’ Oyugi (Shaq), Valerie Akinyi Oyugi, Christine Dimba (Alecky), Carlisto Dimba Oyugi and Consolata Aluoch Odede (Lorna).

Mama Simprose was daughter-in-law of the late Kallisto Oyugi and the late Wilfrida Ambogo.

She was the sister-in-law of Margret Namwaya, the late Christopher Otieno, the late George Kallisto Oyugi, Rosemary Oyugi, Charles Ochieng’, Joseph Odhiambo Oyugi, Tom Francis Oyugi and Gabriel Kallisto. 

She was mother-in-law of Dr. Samuel Odede.

Mama Simprose was grandmother of Shayla Oyugi, Aujinea Oyugi, Zoe Asewe, Elanie Odede, Simone Odede and Kai Carlisto Oyugi.

Family and friends are condoling at her residence in Ayany Estate daily.

A requiem mass will be held in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish, Kilimani on 6th June 2024 at 2.30p.m.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday 8th June 2024 at the family farm in Ulwani, in Ugunja, Siaya County. Pins for directions to be provided.
