It is with deep sorrow and sadness to announce the death of Mbatau wa Ngai (formerly of Nation Media Group) that occurred on 10th July 2024 at Chogoria Hospital.
Son of the late Perminas Ngai Mbatau and the late Edith Ithima Ngai. Stepson of Leonida Igoki Ngai.Beloved Husband of Rosalind Njeri Mbatau. Beloved father of Serah Gathoni Mbatau, Edith Karimi Mbatau and Charles Mugendi Mbatau. Father-in-Law of Marion Trautinger. Grandfather of Quincy Musa, Rachel, Gloria, Sarah, Aaron Justin Mugendi, Aaliyah Mugendi, Kesim and Great grandfather to Malik Aaron Kesim.
Brother of the Late Irene Mukwanyaga, Late Rosemary Igoji, Ephapharas Njue, Pastor Ashford Njeru, Eliphas Sekere, the Late Franklin Njagi, Ephraim Njeru, Catherine Mukwanjiru, Kagendo, Marangu, Mutwiri, Karimi, Mugambi, Murugi. Brother-in-law to Susan Nkirote, Lisbeth Gatakaa, Rose Muthoni, Sylvia Wamuyu, Rose Njeru and Uncle to many.
The cortege leaves Chogoria Hospital Mortuary on Friday 19th July 2024 at 8.30am for a funeral service at the graveside at Kiriguni Village, Mwimbi Location, Maara Subcounty, Tharaka Nithi County.
