With deep sadness, we announce the passing on of Dr. Jacob Owuor Ogola, who departed on August 29, 2024, at Karen Hospital, Nairobi.
Dr. Ogola, is a devoted husband of Nancy Auma Ojalla and a loving father of Bonface & Alfred (USIU-A), Angel ( Loreto Msongari Sch), and Alexandra (Lasall School).
He was the son of the late Mzee Dennis Ogola Odongo and the late Mama Domtilla Achola. His stepmother, Mary Ogola, survives him. He was the son-in-law of the late Siprina Odira and the late Alfred Ojalla. He was the brother of the late Sgt (Rtd) Alloys Odongo Ogola, Joseph Ogola, Abel Ogola (Damian Ogola, Joannes Ogola, Aloice Odongo, Pr. Benard Ogola (Church of God, Homa Hills), Caroli Odongo, the late David Ogola, Priscah Ngicho, Caroline Ogola, Happy Ogola, Grace Ogola, and Daima Ogola.
He was an uncle of Daniel Odongo, Hesborn Odongo, Immaculate, Ednah, Mercy, Gloria, Lydia, Faith, Lilian, Males, Melony, Sam and others. He was the brother-in-law of Jane Odongo, the late Julian Oyoo, Beatrice Odira, Dr. Christine M. Julius, Millicent Okumu, Marion Johannes, Patrick Ojalla(USA), Monicah Ojalla, the late Douglas Ojalla, Kennedy Ojalla, Priscilla Achila, Hulder Ojalla, Ex- MCA Hon Mary Odira and others.
He was the father-in-law of Felistus Daniel, Domtilla Hesborn, Kevin Awuonda, Raymond Akoko and Eric Wambua.
Family and friends gather daily at his home in Juanco, Ngong, for prayers and fundraising, starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be a fundraising on Friday, 13/09/2024 from 5.00 pm at Professional Centre, Parliament Rd, Nbi.
Memorial mass will be on Wednesday, 18/09/2024 from 3:00 pm at Bulbul Catholic Church, Ngong Rd. The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on 19/09/2024 for burial at his Arujo, Kanyada Homa Bay Home.
