It is with our humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Isabella Wanjiru Wambugu on 08th December, 2024 while receiving treatment for an illness bravely borne.
She was the mother to Catherine Wambui and Patrick Ngamau, and Thomas Wambugu and Emma Muthoni. She was the eldest daughter to the late David Wambugu and the late Shiphira Wambui. Loving sister to the late Weru, the late Loise Wairimu, Esther Wangui and the late Patrick Ngara, the late Bernard Muriithi and Mercy Mugure, Naomi Wangari and the late Gerald Gitonga, and Priscilla Muringo and Sammy Gitari. Niece and cousin to the Githinji’s, Githitho’s and Kamuhu’s. She was an aunty to the Ngara’s, Muriithi’s, Gitonga’s and Gitari’s amongst others.
She was grandmother to Eric Ngamau and Diana Akoth, Emily Nyambura and Dan Lenkarie, Isabella Wanjiru Ngamau, Nissi Wambugu, Natalia Wambugu, Nia Wambugu and others. She was great grandmother to Shemmar, Gwedth, Pendo, Hera and Jabari.
Her funeral service and interment will be held on Tuesday, 17th December 2024. The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 06.30 a.m. for her farm in Rutunguru village, Ngobet location, Laikipia county where she shall be laid to rest. Family and friends are meeting at Umoja 1 PCEA church and Landless Thika from 6pm.
