It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Benard Ondabu Ogembo of Nyambogo village, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County which occurred on 3rd December 2024 at Metropolitan Hospital Nairobi. Until his death he was an employee of National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).

He was the Husband of Miriam Nyakerario, father of Nancy, Gloria, Susan, Janet, and Fulconis Ogembo, father-in-law of Muna, and grandfather of Tyson and Lila. He was Son of the late Timothy Ogembo Simba and Mama Susan Ogembo. Son in law of the late Mzee Stephen Ongati and the late Mama Salome Moraa Ongati. 

Brother of Evans, Jared, Florence, Aaron, Nelson Ogembo (USA) Florence, and Nyambweke (USA). He was a grandson of the late Simba, Kerubo, Miyienda, Mariko, Onsoti, Andrew Nyambweke, and Moseti. A brother-in-law of Veronica, Paul (Rent tribunal), Lawrence (BumbeTTI), James, Moriasi (MOE), and Kebaso (Karen TTI). Semo of Hon Ezekiel Machogu and James Obaigwa & others. Cousin of Simbas, Jacky, Norah, Samson, Samwel, Omweri, Moseti, Kanani, Joshua Magret, Jane Nyangweso, Eunice Nyamwega, the late Getii, and Andrew Nyambweke & others.

Son of the late Ratemo, the late Peter, Nyabeta, Nyamwamu, Samson, the late Sospeter, Daudi Miyienda, Nyambane, Sam Nyambweke, Daudi Miyienda, Kwamboka, Priscah, Jenesi, Mong’ina, Kerubo, Hellen, Esther, Leah, Moraa and Nyanchoka.

Friends and family are meeting daily at Afya Center M1 at 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm at his home Katani and Nyamagesa Nyambogo village till the 18th December, 2024. The main fundraising will be held on Tuesday, 17th December, 2024 at Professional Center, at 4.00pm to 7.30 pm

The cortège leaves Umash Funeral Home Nairobi on the 19th December 2024 at 8.00 am for a funeral service and burial on the 20th December 2024 from 10.00 am at his rural home in Nyambogo Village, Nyankononi Sub-Location, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County.
