It is with deep sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Mama Mary Chepkemoi Mutai, beloved wife of the late Micah Mutai of Ketengeret Chebwagan. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Maritim Kiget and the late Sarah Kiget of Kapsimotwo, Sotik, and was born in 1947.
She was the sister of Hellen C. Cheluget, Azaria Maritim, Alice Birir, the late Rebecca Ngeny, James Maritim, the late Nelson Maritim, Sophia Rono, Bernice Ngerechi (Bornes) and Nancy Chelule.
Mother of the late Veronica Mutai, Sophia Bett, Dorcas Mutai, Diana Mutai, Phillip Kirui, Monica Mutai, Simon Kirui, Genevieve Mitei, Rhoda Mutai, Sylvia Korir and Regina Rono.
She was the mother-in-law of Eng. Richard Bett, Hillary Mitei, Peter Korir, Dominic Rono and Betty Kirui.She leaves behind 29 grandchildren.
The cortege will leave Lazarus Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, for an overnight vigil, and the burial will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the family home at Chebwagan- Ketengeret village as from 10.00am.
