It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Jacinta Sarah Aluoch Odhiambo on May 16, 2025 after a short illness.
Jacinta Sarah Aluoch was the beloved daughter of Mama Cecilia Anyango Odhiambo of Gem and Columban Odanga Odhiambo of Ebusembe Village, Mumias.
Jacinta was a doting mother of Evrard Otieno and Natalie Adhiambo. She was a mother in-law of Rael Okello and a grandma of Emma Aluoch.
She was a sister of Margaret Pwoka, Philip Odhiambo, Teresa Ombok, Grace Umija, Edward Odanga, Evaline Oyoo, late Godfrey Odhiambo, late Sylvester Kwena, late Gabriel Mukoya, late Hezekiah Odanga, the late Matthew Okanya, late Bernard Mutimba, Boniface Odhiambo, Ben Dominic Odhiambo, Thomas Odhiambo, the late George Oyugi, Christopher Wabuti, late Monica Shiundu, late Concepta Makokha, late Catherine Mogaka, Margaret Okoyana, among many others.
She was a sister in-law to many, a cousin to many, an aunt to many, a granny to many and a friend to many.
A Requiem Mass will be held in her honor at St. Austin’s Catholic Church, Lavington, Nairobi on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The cortege will leave Nairobi to her homes in Emakale, Mumias and later to Likuyani Constituency in Kakamega County, where another Requiem Mass and burial will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
