Our family, relatives, collegues, neighbours and friends,
There are simply not enough words to express our heartfelt gratitude for the support that you have shown us the Ndichu family since the demise of our beloved mother, sister, aunt cucu, friend and mentor Flora Wanjiku Ndichu.
Given the outpouring of support in the days leading up to mum’s burial, calls, messages of support and prayers thereafter, we are unable to write individual thank you notes to each one of you, so with humility we hope you will accept this as an expression of our sincere gratitude to you all.
We can never prepare for the depth of despair that death brings, and the connection of our extended family and friends helps tremendously to ease us back into the mainstream of life. Thank you for your messages of condolence, the visits to our home, the prayers and the generous contributions towards our mother’s funeral arrangements.
We count our blessing for those of you who were able to join our family for the funeral service and burial in Kwamaiko. Seeing the familiar faces helped us bear our grief and sadness of the day, thank you for being there for us.
Special appreciation goes to the Consolata Shrine Charismatic Group led by Anne Mareka whose daily sermons were inspiring and comforting, Father Bernard Ndichu for spiritually uplifting the family, Father Odunga for celebrating the last mass with mum in hospital, St Joseph’s Church Raiyani for prayers and support at our rural home, Joy girls, Star group, Global pals and the funeral committees in Nairobi and Kwamaiko led by Prof P.W.Ndaguatha and John Karuga among many others who provided support, services and personal time to ensure mum had a befitting send off. God bless you.
We acknowledge with gratitude our friends in the USA who provided tremendous support and comfort towards our siblings out there. Father Korir who celebrated the memorial mass in the US. Thank you
Our deep and unreserved appreciation as a family go to mum’s long time and loyal support staff at Riverside Drive, Kwamaiko, Kagwe tea farms and Ol kalau farm.
Finally, we thank the doctors and nurses at the Aga Khan University Hospital who took care of mum throughout her short illness.
May the Lord continue to bless you all abundantly.
