It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Mwalimu Gabriel Otieno Obiero "Simba" which occurred on 8th April, 2018 at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret.

 

Husband of the late Beldine Obiero and Mary Adhiambo. Son of the late Petro Otieno, Cathorina Kasera and Benta Kaiko. Father of the late Kenneth Ochieng, Aggrey Owuor (Sony sugar), Dr. George Obiero (UoN), Jane Adhiambo (Brilliant Academy), Julian Anyango and Erick Obiero (Engineers Board of Kenya). Father-in-law of Lilian Owuor, Valarie Odunga, Joanitha Rweyemamu, Mark Ayaga and Moses Akumu. Brother of Joseph, Leonida, Leonard, Christine (late), Alloys and Kennedy. Son-in-law of the late Joseph Ager Tolo and Rosa Ager Tolo. Grandfather of Frank, Billy, Joshua, Shalom, Nicole, Rina, Brandy, Shirley, Joyline and Leon. Brother in law of Penina, Subiri, Jelly Tolo, Moses, Caren Owuor, Caren Ondele and the late Elizabeth Lari, George and Teresa. Cousin of Maurice Arego, George Kaiko, Joseph, Alloys, Edward, Patrice Adoyo, Michael, John Ondele, Patrick Kaiko, Felgona, Beldina Amolo, Rosemary, Tobias Okech, Mary, Consolata, Mary Wamburi and the late Alloys Kaiko among others. Nephew of the late Kileon, Wiggwah, Ogada, Olwanda and Mbogo.

 

There will be a mass on 30th April, 2018 at Rakwaro Catholic church, Rongo from 2.00pm

Burial will take place on 1st May, 2018 at his Nyaroda farm, Raruowa village, Rongo, Migori County.

 

Fundraising drive will be held on Saturday, 21st April, 2018 at Garden Square, Nairobi from 2pm and on Wednesday 25th April, 2018 at 6pm, same venue.
