We, the family of the Late Mrs. Elizabeth Wangechi Kebuthu express our sincere and deep heartfelt appreciation to all our relatives, friends and well-wishers during our period of bereavement. We were touched by the prayers, visits and words of encouragement as well as the very generous moral and financial support that helped us to lay our beloved mother to rest successfully at Mihuti, Kangema Murang’a one year ago.
We are thankful to all those who called, visited and prayed with us at Umoja, Mihuti and elsewhere.
We are humbled by all our friends, neighbours, professional colleagues, clients and old school mates who sent words of comfort and solidarity to her children – Geoffrey and Naomi Kariuki (Kabati), Baldwin and Keziah Mwai (Karatina), John and Ruth Kuria (USA), Charles and Mary Kimathi (C. Kimathi & Company Advocates), Newton and Grace Kibunja (Umoja), James and Margaret Gitau (Nyeri), Mr. & Mrs. Chege Kebuthu (Cathsam School - Umoja) and Patrick and Anne Waweru (Dubai).
We may not mention each and every one here by name but your countless acts of kindness and generosity made our burden bearable.
Above all, we thank God for the life we shared with our late mother and the life-long impressions that she made in our lives. Her memories of strong leadership, genuine love for God and the Church, discipline, honesty and hard-work will continue to guide us.
To family, relatives and friends who were touched by Our Hero, you are invited to a Memorial Service and the Unveiling of the Cross to be held at her husband’s rural home at Mihuti, Kangema Murang’a on Saturday, 2nd June 2018, beginning at 10.00am. Please join us on that day so that together, we can give our mother the last rite of send-off worthy of her life of giving, loving and counseling.
You may have left this life but your blood continues to flow in the veins of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Forever in our hearts. It is Well! Rest in Eternal Peace our Beloved Mother.
