It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr. Joel Assa Ochieng Manyonge (Director, Veterinary Department Malaba, Busia County).
Husband to Jenipher Atieno Manyonge (Mwanyambu Primary School, Voi). Son of the late Apollo Luballo Manyonge and the late Selina Ogera Manyonge of Got Osimbo, Uholo. Son in law to Walter Ogalo and Hahna Ogalo of Minya, Ndhiwa Constituency. Father to Enock Okoth (Hillsview Agrovet, Richard Omondi (Livestock, Mwatate), Ferdinand Apollo (Jambojet), Phoeby Adhiambo (Kenya Wildlife), Grace Akinyi (Cooperative University). Grandfather to Joshua Azaria and Joel Katama. Brother to Sophie Osewe, Beatrice Manyonge, Elizabeth Tieng, Alice Wagunda, David Otieno, James Manyonge, Christine Losialoi, Joyce Nyanduga, Rev. Bernard Manyonge. Brother in law to Sam Osewe, Eng. Shadrack Tieng, Cyrel Wagunda, Dorine Odera, Elizabeth Ritho-Manyonge, Christopher Losialoi, Eng. Evans Nyanduga, Elizabeth Nanjala, Peter Ogalo, Pamela Okoth and Daudi Omari.
Friends, family, and relatives are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements daily at his house in Muthaiga Estate, Voi and at the family home in Woodley Estate, Newbury Court, off Joseph Kangethe Road, Nairobi.
There will be a fundraising meeting on Tuesday, 2nd April, 2019 at 5.00 p.m. at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi and on Wednesday, 3rd April, 2019 at 6.00 p.m. in Muthaiga Estate, Voi. Contributions can be sent to KCB Mpesa PayBill No. 522522 A/c No. 1254688668.
The cortege leaves St. Joseph Shelter of Hope Hospital, Voi on Thursday 4th April 2019 at 9.00 a.m. and thereafter proceed for a funeral service to be held at ACK St. Barnabas Church, Sophia, Voi on Thursday 4th April 2019 at 10 a.m.
Dr. Joel Ochieng Manyonge will be laid to rest on Saturday, 6th April 2019 at the family home in Got Osimbo, Uholo, Siaya County.
