It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mama Maswela Anyango Ojwang (Min Apelle), of Ongaro Villlage – Kanyikela, Ndhiwa, Homabay County on 23rd December, 2020 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Homabay.
Daughter of the late Elkana Mosi and Rosebela Owino of Konyango – Kendubay. Sister of the late Ayub Okoko, Ruth Okal, Ester Mbogo, Enos Simba, Thomas Ngar and Ochola Franco. Others are Peter Onoka, Robert Dola, Caren Otieno, Margaret Akeyo Mosi, among others. Wife of the late Mahalon Ojwang Lwambe. Co-wife of the late Matabel Ojwang and Jane Ojwang.
Loving Mother of the late Damaris Ouko, Eliud Otieno (Ka-Min Dani), the late Wilbert Ojwang, former Chief Jack Ojwang, the late Moses Odera, Ezekiel Ojwang (USA), Apelles Ouko (Lake Dishes), Dr. Cainan Ojwang (Maseno University), the late Shem Odoyo Ojwang and Pamela Okundi (Rachuonyo South Hospital), Sam Odiembo (Tysons). Step-mother of Elly, Joseph, Rose, Mary, Milllicent, Francis, Nikanor, Milka, Barrack, Petro, John, Jane, among others. Mother-in-law of the late Mary Otieno, Roseline Otieno, Grace Ojwang, Jane Odera, Beatrice Ogolla, Janet Ojwang and Grace Odoyo, the Late William Ouko, Erastus Okundi among others.
Revered grandmother of Rachael, Sam, Fred, Larmeck, Sam, Mike, Mannoah, Robert, Caro, Dave, Dorcas, Job, Jillian, Lilian, Diana, May, John, Rosebell, Mercy, Eva, Dama, Inan, Stacy, Cliff, Tracy, Brown, Vincent, Mercy, Elmard, Innocent, among others. She has left behind 30 great-grandchildren.
The cortège leaves Rosewood Funeral Home, on Thursday 21st Janaury, 2021, at 3.00pm for burial on Friday 22nd January, 2021, at her home in Ongaro Village - Kanyikela, Ndhiwa, Homabay County.
