It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dada Deborah Wacheghu Mwavua which occurred on 26th July 2021. 

The firstborn daughter of the late Rev. Canon Stephano T. Kiteto and the late Grace Wakesho Kiteto. Beloved wife of the late Ndugu Evan Mwavua. Daughter-in-law to the late Javan Mwandaghina and late Eileen Wakesho. Loving mother to Javan Mwavua (Taita), late Grace Wakesho, Eileen Wakesho Mwaita (Voi), late Janet Manena, Joy Mnjama (Botswana), Mercy Mwavua (Taita), late Veronica Wachia, Lydiah Kiti (Mombasa), late David Masese, Mary Mayama (Eldoret), late Stephen Kiteto, Agneta Mwambela (Mombasa), late Joseph Masege and late Jane Mwavua. Mother-in-law to Florence Mwavua, late Gibran Mwaita, Prof. Nathan Mnjama, Aggrey Mayama, late Nicholas Kiti, late David Mwambela, and Sophie Masege.

Cherished sister to the late Stela Mwawuda,Janet Mwanjala,Lydia Lewa, late Susannah Mwandawiro, Rose Mwaghoti, late Charity Maingi, Phoebe Kiteto, and Rachael Nasongo. Sister-in-law to the late Julia Kulola, late Michael Mkala, late Mary Marami, late Rachel Nyasi, and the late Dishan Mwasere. 
She was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a matriarch whose memory will be celebrated and remembered by her dear family, friends, and the entire East African Revival Brethren. 

The body is lying at St. Joseph Hospital, Ikanga.  A funeral service to celebrate her life shall be held at ACK St. Peter’s Cathedral,  Voi on Monday 2nd August 2021 starting 10.00 am.

The burial will be held at Sere Village, Macha, Mbololo sub location, Taita Taveta County on Tuesday 3rd August 2021 from 10.00 am.
