It is with humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the passing on of Mary Wahito Wahinya on 08/07/2021, at The Nairobi Hospital, after a short illness.
The first born daughter of late Justus Karimi Kamakiru and late Wambui Karimi.
Wife of the late John Wahinya Kang’ere.
Mother of late Simon Peter Kang’ere, Esther Njeri Mwatha, Ann Wambui, Naomi Kabui Kinyanjui, Hannah W. Wahinya (formerly of Central Bank of Kenya), Daniel Karanja Wahinya (formerly of Habib Bank), Njau Wahinya and Stephen Gichohi.
Mother-in-law of Jane Kang’ere, the late Eliud Mwatha, John Kinyanjui, Peris Karanja, Edith Njau and Wambui Gichohi.
Sister of the late Samuel Kamakiru, the late Hannah Wanjiku, the late Jonah Thumbi, the late Alice Njeri Koogi, the late Willy Kamande, Damaris Wangui Mabi, Peter Kiburi Karimi and Nancy Wanjiru.
An aunt, a grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at their home in Kwamaiko - Ngewa and Gathugu - Komothai both in Githunguri, Kiambu County, every evening from 4:00pm.
The cortège leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home - Thika Superhighway, on Monday 19th July, 2021, at 8:00am, for the funeral service and burial at her home Gathugu village, Komothai, Githunguri.
