Death and Funeral Announcement
George Gichohi Kanyi
(1931 ~ 2021)
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of George Gichohi Kanyi (Ithe wa Kanyi), which occurred on 14th August, 2021, at Kiria-ini Mission Hospital.
Husband of the late Ruth Nyagaki. Father of the late Victor Kanyi, Major (Rtd) Patrick and Rahab Gichohi (Directors - Blue Armour Security), Shelmith Njoki, William Wachira (Brookehouse School) and Mercy Wangui, Capt (Rtd) Joseph Kiige and Mary Wahito, Cpl. Lawrence Wairagu (National Police Service) and Damaris Njoki, and SerahMercy Wanjiku (Kiambu County). Son of the late Maxwell Kanyi Wachira and Nancy Njoki. Brother of the late Gerald Wachira, and Harrison Wairagu (Rurigi). Uncle, grandfather and great grandfather of many.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Kariko village, Chinga Location Othaya, and his children respective homes.
The cortège leaves Kiria-ini Mission Hospital Mortuary on Monday 23rd August, 2021, at 9.00am.
Funeral service will be at ACK, St. Mathews Kariko Parish, thereafter laid to rest at his home Kariko village.
