It is with profound sadness and heavy heart to announce the promotion to glory of Evangelist Rtd Col. John Kemei formerly of Kenyan Navy on the Saturday, 25th June 2022 at St Lukes Hospital - Eldoret while undergoing treatment.
He was the son of the late Kibirgen Bittok, the late Esther Bittok and Ann Bittok of Lessos settlement scheme. Son-in-law to the late Paramount Chief Noah Chelugui and Susan Chelugui of Sugoi. He is the husband to Sarah Kemei (formerly CBK staff - Eldoret).
Father to Michael Kibet Kemei (US Army - Marine), Charles Kiptoo Kemei (IT Engineer - Australia) Diana Chemutai (Nurse-US Air-force) and Faith Kemei (Cambridge College). Father-in-law to Nelly Kibet, Luice kiptoo, Harrison Ngatia. Grandfather to: Wayne Kipkosgei, Ivy Ruth, Levi John Gachagua.
Brother to David, the late Stephen, Abraham, Lot, Loyce, the late Solomon, Simion, the late Pauline, Magdaline, Titus, Jane, Grace, Phillip, Salome, Vincent and Priscah. Brother-in-law to David, Everlyne, Mary, Hellen the late Charles, Ben, Lilian, Rabecca, Leah, Pauline, Mary, Rose, Flora, Rosemary, Elizabeth, Kiptoo, the late E. Menjo Jane, Rosebella, Hellen, Beatrice, Selly, Nelly, Judith, Trupena and Rispa.
Prayers and meeting are held daily at his residence in Komora Estate - Eldoret and Berur/Kimuri farm.
A fundraising to defray medical costs shall be conducted on 5th July, 2022 at 12:00 noon at his residence Berur/Kimuri Farm and on 6th July 2022 at 4.00pm at Sirikwa Hotel - Eldoret.
His body will be removed from Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on 8th July, 2022 followed by a prayer service at AIC Fellowship - Eldoret and Berur Kimuri residence for night vigil.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday 9th July 2022 at his residence in Berur /Kimuri Farm near Suzy Peacock high school at 10.00am.
2nd Timothy 4; 7-8 ~ “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day… and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
