Claire, a Light That Shall Never Dim, a Warmth that will never Cool
It is with humble acceptance that we announce the demise of Petronila Claire Anyango of The World Food Programme Regional Bureau for Eastern Africa, Nairobi, that occurred on Monday 5th of February 2024.
Daughter of the late George Onyango and Professor Maria Onyango of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, sister to Josephine, Bob, Tom, Nick, Phyllis, Elizabeth and Jim.
She was an Aunty to Laura, Talya, Eden, Anita, Jordan, Mike, Jackie, Patty, Andy, Petronila, Kevin, Phelly, Jhelani, Bianca, Tendai, George, Cassius, Aiden, Geoff and many more.
She was sister in law to George Omwandho, Hon. James Onyango Koyoo, Rosemary Momanyi-Opiyo, Damaris Gitonga, Phoebe Odhiambo, Priscilla Otieno. She was also Cousin to Dr Protus Oketch and Lydia Oketch.
She will be laid to rest on Saturday, Feb 17th at her family home in Kisumu. A requiem mass will be held in Nairobi on Thursday, Feb 15th, venue to be announced.
