It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Hellen Wothaya Weru of Kihethu-Muruguru, Nyeri County.
Hellen was preceded in death by her husband Charles Weru Murithi.
She was the mother of Ann Kiritu, Monicah Wangechi, Mary Wanjiru, Karen Wambui and mother-in-law of Benson Kiritu.
She was a daughter of the late Ibrahim Gituru and the late Monicah Wangechi.
Sister of Ngatia, Wambui, Gichohi, Gathoni (Great Batian Optical), Wangari, Willy (Wiltime Enterprises), Wanjiru (Westlands Medical Center) and Karungari (Kipekee Creations).
She was a daughter-in-law of the late Muriithi Weru and the late Ann Wangui of Kang’umo, Muhotetu.
She was a sister-in-law of Githinji, Ndirangu, Wairimu, Njoki, the late Wanjiku and Wambui.
She was blessed with many grandchildren including Jayden, Hope, Ryan, Liam and Noah.
She was an aunt and friend of many.
Family and friends are meeting for prayers that are being convened daily at her home in Kihethu, Muruguru from 4pm. Ibis hotel, Nyeri town from Mon. 26th Feb at 6pm and All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Tue. 27th Feb from 5pm in preparation for her burial.
The cortege shall leave Nyeri Outspan Funeral home Thursday at 7:00am on 29th Feb 2024 for the burial ceremony at PCEA Muruguru.
Thereafter, the late shall be laid to rest in her home in Kihethu, Muruguru.
