It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Queen Mother, Dorcus Katumbi Ernest Nzioka, which occurred on 26th February, 2024.
She was wife of the late Mwalimu Ernest Nzioka Mandi of Kamwelani village, Maiyani Sub-location, Mukaa Sub-county, Makueni County.
Daughter of the late Nzivo Ng’athu and the late Mutete Nzivo of Kiutaa village, Mukaa Sub-county, Makueni County. Mother of Commissioner George L.M. Nzioka, Prof. Gideon H.N.Nyamasyo, Amb (Rtd) Ms. Agnes Jessie Mandi, Ms. Evelyne Mwikali and Mr. Jeremy Nzioka.
Beloved sister of Mrs. Kanee Musyoka, Mr. John Kituli, the late Ing’eli, the late Kathingo, the late Nzilani, the late Mbulwa, the late Nzioka, the late Musau, and the late Malyunga.
She was mother-in-law of Mrs. Christine Makame Nzioka, Dr. Eunice Auma Nyamasyo, and Lady Justice Grace Nzioka. She was the grandmother of Philip Manthi Mwendwa, Jacqueline Rodriguez, Ngumbau Mutua, Carol Mutindi Masaku, Samson Davies Maundu, Nthiani Mutua, Ernest Nyamasyo, Joyce Bahati, Vincent Musyoki Masaku, George Musembi Nyamasyo, Mukami Mutua, Simon Mandi Mutua, Derrick Nzioka, Desmond Nzioka, Adrian Musa Mandi and Audrey Lulu Mandi and great grandmother to several great grandchildren.
Her remains are lying at the Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi.
The funeral ceremony will be held on March 6th 2024 from 9.00am at Mukaa School Grounds, and thereafter her internment at her home in Kamwelani village, Maiyani Sublocation Mukaa Subcounty, Makueni County.
