It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Susan Wamuyu Chebet Cherono (Mum Sue) of Eseriani Place Organization which occurred on Saturday, 9th March, 2024 at KU Referral Hospital after a short illness bravely borne.
Daughter of the late William Chepkurui Cherono and Margaret Gathoni Machiu of Itiati Village, Karatina (formerly of Milimani Hotel Nairobi).
Sister of Kennedy Kiprotich Cherono.
She was mother of Maureen Nzilani Kimani, Viola Wairimu Weru and Zena Gathoni Weru.
Mother-in-law of Kimani Waweru.
Niece of the the late Esther Mithamo (Gitunduti), the late Wambura Kang’uru (Gathuini), the late Wanjugu Kibui (Kanjuri), the late Wanjiru Gichuki (Ol Kalau), the late Daniel Waiguru, Cecilia Waiguru, Mumbi all of Itiati Village and Duncan Ngungi (Nanyuki).
Cousin of Moses Maina (DC), Purity Mbauni, Leonard Maina Mithamo, Arthur Mwaniki, Moses Mithamo, Waiguru Kibui, Wangari, Lucy Kibui, Gathigia Gichuki, Wamuyu Gikonyo, Maina Mumbi, Macharia, Janet Waiguru, Jimmy Waiguru, Machiu Waiguru among others.
Auntie of Wambui, Njeri, Mithamo, Wairimu, Njamiu, Sheila, Greg and many others.
Grandmother of Waweru Wa Kimani and Nyokabi Wa Kimani.
Friends and Relatives are meeting daily from Monday, 11th March to Thursday, 14th March at the All-Saints cathedral meeting hall from 5.30pm to 8.00pm.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Hospital Mortuary at 7.00am on Friday, 15th March, 2024 for a Funeral service at CITAM Karen as from 10.30am.
Thereafter the burial will take place as from 1.00pm at the Langata Cemetery.
Sue in her nature had a big heart for caring for the less fortunate especially widows and kids to an extent of establishing a foundation for her noble purpose.
